The perpetual calendar, invented in the 18th century, is one of the most sophisticated astronomical complications. It features a mechanical memory that records a 48-month cycle and automatically adjusts the number of days per month, even during leap years. Like the 41mm version released earlier this year, the chronograph counters have been re-arranged to enhance legibility, symmetry, and visual harmony. The date disc at 12 o'clock utilizes a patented progressive display system, with the date wheel featuring 31 custom-made teeth that vary in size according to the width of the numerals for enhanced readability. To ensure perfect symmetry with the month and leap year counters at 3 o'clock, a 24-hour display has been added to the day-of-the-week counter at 9 o'clock. A red "no-adjustment zone" appears between 9 pm and 3 am, indicating that the perpetual calendar cannot be adjusted during this period. However, any adjustments made by the wearer during this period will not damage the movement.
